Suzanne (Suzy) Teele
Managing Director
As managing
director for Aceda, Suzy has a
distinguished career as a business
strategist which spans 20 years. She
founded Aceda in 1999 and grew the
company to its current level of success.
Suzy has tremendous experience in
corporate and general management, and
has personally turned 50 products and
services into market leaders. She has
built and integrated teams of marketing,
sales, development, human resources, and
operational personnel on a worldwide
basis, and is a proven leader and
motivator.
Here are some of
her top accomplishments:

During her 5
years with Aceda, Suzy has successfully
created and implemented sustainable
growth strategies as an interim
executive at companies in industries as
varied as manufacturing, healthcare,
networking services, software
development, e-commerce, business
services, and IT management; holding
acting VP Marketing, VP Marketing and
Sales, and VP Strategy positions.

During her three
years at ServiceWare (www.serviceware.com)
as Senior VP of Marketing, and as an
Executive Officer,
she grew the product portfolio from
one to five products and helped the
company increase its revenue by 700%. ServiceWare was
recognized on the Inc. 500 list for 2
years in a row.

Her first success
during her 8
years at Legent
Corporation, now part of Computer
Associates (www.ca.com), was growing
one product into a product family that
generated over $36M in revenue by its
4th year. She became General Manager of
a $200M division that developed,
supported and marketed 35 software
products worldwide, with a team of 225
employees in 8 locations throughout the
United States and Europe. At the time,
this group of products grew to just
under 50% of Legent's overall revenue, and
to be the
single largest division within the
company.

Also while at
Legent, Suzy became the first female Vice
President and the youngest Corporate
Officer, and during her tenure as VP
Human Resources, ran the Compensation
Committee for the Board of Directors.
Suzy was also the first recipient of
the Legent STAR award, where she was
recognized for her various
contributions to the success of the
company's sales organization.
Suzy has a
business degree from Indiana University
of Pennsylvania (IUP) and has completed
graduate level courses at the University
of Pittsburgh. She
serves on the Advisory Boards of the
Pittsburgh Technology Council's
Marketing Network and Seton Hill
University's National Education Center
for Women. Suzy is a mentor for the
University of Pittsburgh Katz School's
Entrepreneurial Fellows Center, and a
member of the Pittsburgh Champions
organization. She is an instructor for
the annual EnterPrize business plan
contest and a frequent speaker on
technology marketing in the region.
Additionally, she is an advisor for the
Allegheny Chapter of PowerLink, and is
involved with the Alumni activities for
Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Suzy
is also serving as a committee member to
redefine the image of Pittsburgh, and
currently writes a monthly column for
TechyVent (a regional technology
newsletter) and the National Education
Center for Women in Business’s
newsletter, e-Magnify.
