Challenge
AssetTrade approached Aceda with the
need to gain sales traction in the market and to bring focus
to its product offerings, as well as ensuring that its sales
and marketing efforts were aligned.
Solution
To achieve theses goals, Aceda team
members were named Acting Chief Operating Officer and Acting
VP of Product Management. Aceda spent 10 months working closely
with AssetTrade's CEO, executive management team and its
board of directors, as well as its strategic partner,
Internet Capital
Group (NYSE:ICGE). Aceda managed the execution of the company's strategic
plan including the sales, marketing, product management and
operational elements.
Aceda identified their target audience,
established a new brand and focused their marketing
efforts on driving sales activities. Aceda then
helped form a direct sales team and identified/implemented a Sales Force/Marketing Automation
system to accelerate the sales process.
Results
With Aceda's help,
AssetTrade gained several Fortune 500
manufacturers as customers including Alcoa, Bethlehem
Steel, DuPont, and Parker-Hannifin. They were able to
successfully launch a private catalog service for industrial
manufacturers, enabling partners and customers to more
easily participate in the buying and selling of surplus
industrial equipment. It also launched a new website that
contained over $600 million of surplus industrial equipment.
